The best way to test the effectiveness of the Repel is to take a few drops of water and observe how well the water beads and rolls off of the shoe. If reapplication is needed, we suggest cleaning your shoes with our Premium Shoe Cleaner, allow to fully dry and to reapply Repel following the directions on the bottle.

What shoes can I use Repel on?
Use Repel on absorbent materials like, suede, nubuck and canvas. Leathers that are sealed or have polishes on them (i.e. patent leather) are essentially already waterproof.
